Kanemoto Yoshinori, better known as Yoshi, is a rapper, dancer and songwriter of YG Entertainment’s Korean boy group, TREASURE. He was born in Kobe, Japan, but, being a 4th generation Korean Japanese, he is of Korean nationality, as he mentioned during a show.
In 2018, he joined the survival show, YG Treasure Box, as a contestant. He took the opportunity yet he didn’t make the main group but instead the second group from the show, called MAGNUM. Then, YG Entertainment announced MAGNUM would be disbanded and the remaining 12 members would debut as TREASURE.
He debuted with TREASURE on August 7, 2020, with the track "BOY" from their debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’. Together with the members of TREASURE, he went on to win Rookie of the Year awards and performed at several events such as the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), Golden Disc Award (GDA) and Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
He made his acting debut in the webdrama "It’s okay, that’s friendship".
