Yeo Esther is a South Korean doctor of preventive medicine, a family medicine specialist, businesswoman and TV personality. She graduated from Daegu Namsan High School and she later obtained a bachelor’s degree in medicine and master and doctoral degrees in preventive medicine all from Seoul National University. She is a devout Catholic so she uses her baptismal name, Esther. Her grandfather is a well-known economic tycoon in Daegu and her family is quite wealthy. In 1991, she met Hong Hye Geol while at university and despite her being 2 years old than him, she took the initiative and began a relationship with him. They have been married for nearly 30 years and have 2 sons. The couple has been fairly popular in variety shows as they bicker quite often but do so in a cute way. Since 2009, she is the CEO of "Esther Formula", a health functional food company with lactobacillus as the top seller which earned the company the "Brand of the Year" Grand Prize.
