Yang Ji Eun is a South Korean traditional musician and trot singer. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Korean Traditional Music from Chonnam National University and later obtained a master’s degree in Music Education from Yonsei University. Her homeroom teacher in 5th grade encouraged her to learn vocal music after she won the Jeju City Grand Prize and the National Encouragement Award at the KBS Open Children’s Songs World but her family wanted her to study pansori. In 2014, she became the youngest trainee of intangible cultural heritage after passing the exam for Pansori Heungbo. She also ventured in trot music after deciding to challenge herself to sing other music genres and participated in the competition show "Miss Trot 2" with great comments regarding her skills and vocal range.
