Zheng Bin Hui, born as Tay Ping Hui in Singapore, is a Singaporean actor, host, singer and director. He graduated from the National University of Singapore. He was a general manager of an international chain organization before being discovered by a TV producer in 1998 and invited to act in TV dramas. Since then, he has embarked on the road of performing arts.
In 1999, he made his leading debut in the first TV series "Shuangbao", and also won the Red Star Award for Best Supporting Actor for his gangster role in the TV series "The Way Out". He was voted in as a Red Star Top Ten Most Popular Male Artist for ten straight years from 2000 to 2011. He won the 2012 Best Actor Award for his lead role in "Wanfu Building" at the 2012 Red Star Awards. Following year, he won the Best Supporting Actor for "Hottest Partner 2" at the 2013 Red Star Awards.
Between 2005 and 2007, Zheng served as the host of TV programs such as "Men Gang", "Impossible Mission III", "Superman Rising", "Beijing Singapore Festival" and "Lunar New Year Party".
His directing stint kicked off in the 2013 youth inspirational film "Goodbye Giant".
Tay and Edna Lim Mei Ling, a female university lecturer, registered their marriage in 2010.
