Lee Sun Mi, better known as Sunmi, is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 2007 as a member of South Korean girl group, Wonder Girls, and left the group in January 2010 to pursue her academic career. After a three year hiatus from the music scene, Sunmi resumed her career as a soloist in August 2013 with her first digital single, “24 Hours”.
In 2015, Wonder Girls returned to the music scene after a two-year hiatus with a new band formation, Sunmi was also confirmed to be re-joining the group after her departure in 2010. The group later disbanded in 2017 after she and Yeeun decided not to renew their contracts with JYP Entertainment.
