Son Woo Hyun, born Son Hyun Seok, first debuted in April 2011 as an idol in the K-pop group X-5. He then went under the stage name “Ghun” and was the leader of the group.
He first made a name for himself in the drama industry when he appeared in the drama series “Miss Ripley” later in 2011, following up with a role in “Myung Wol the Spy” (2012). In December 2012 Woo Hyun enlisted into the mandatory military, and X-5 disbanded in February 2013.
After the hiatus, he returned in 2016 with the series “Blow Breeze” and his movie debut with “Fork Lane” (2017). More recently, he appeared in the dramas “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” and “To My Star” (both 2020).
Aside from X-5, he’s also a former member of the disbanded trot group 3Chongsa.
