Shin Dong Il

After THE HOLY FAMILY screened in the shorts competition section at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, Shin Dong-il’s feature debut, HOST & GUEST (2005), screened at various international film festivals, including the Busan International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival, and won the Best New Director Award at the Seattle International Film Festival. Following his second feature MY FRIEND & HIS WIFE (2006), the final episode of the Relationship Trilogy, BANDHOBI (2009), won the Best Film Award at the Nantes Festival of the Three Continents. COME, TOGETHER (2016), his feature in seven years, was selected at the Busan IFF.
