Park Jang Hyuk is a South Korean short-track speed skater. He was interested in the sport after watching his older sister skate. In 2018, he finished third overall at the 2018 World Junior Championships. In 2021, he was selected for the national team for the first time and participated in the World Cup. He was selected to represent the national team for the 2022 Winter Olympics. During the quarterfinal race of the 1000m, he suffered a severe hand injury that required several stitches when he fell and the skate of a competitor went over his hand. He missed that event but he was able to compete with his teammates and won the silver medal in the men’s 5000m relay.
