Oh Sang Hoon began his career in 1995 as an assistant director for action thriller "Born to Kill." He then went on to direct as well as help write the film "Greatest Expectations" starring Kim Sun Ah and directed "Reversal of Fortune" starring Ha Ji Won and Kim Seung Woo in 2003. In 2005, he co-wrote and directed "Cracked Eggs and Noodles" starring Im Chang Jung who also starred in his later work Ji Woon Soo’s Stroke of Luck.
Following the release of his comedy films Greatest Expectations and Reversal of Fortune, Oh Sang Hoon won the 2004 rising director award from the Korean Society of Cinematographers.
Oh died of heart failure on September 11, 2016, at the age of 49.
