Oh Beom Seok is a South Korean retired professional footballer and broadcaster. He graduated from Pohang Jecheol Technical High School and, as a freshman, he was selected alongside fellow teammates Hwang Jin Seong and Kim Dong Hyun to go to Brazil for one year to train at a soccer academy. After graduating, he was selected by Pohang Steelers and debuted in 2003. He played for them as a right defensive back and scored 5 goals in 108 appearances. In 2007, he was sent to Japan on loan and played 10 games for Yokohama FC before moving to Russia where he played for FC Krylia Sovetov between 2008 and 2009. He then returned to South Korea where he spent time playing for Ulsan Hyundai (2009-2010), Suwon Samsung Bluewings (2011-2015) and on loan with the Ansan Police (2013-2014, during his mandatory military service). In 2016, he moved to China where he played for Hangzhou Greentown and then ended his career in South Korea playing for Gangwon (2017-2019) and back to Pohang Steelers until his retirement in 2021. He also represented his country, scoring 2 goals in 43 international appearances, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He works as a soccer commentator for Sky Sports since 2022.
