Noh Hee Kyung

Noh Hee Kyung is a television screenwriter and essayist. She has become renowned in South Korea for her realistic, cerebral and in-depth portrayals of the lives and relationships of ordinary people.
Noh said she wrote "The Most Beautiful Goodbye in the World" (1996) two years after the death of her own mother, as a tribute to her, and this drama (which has been adapted to a novel, a stage play, a film and a drama remake) brought her into spotlight.
Noh has written many successful family dramas and urban melodramas which received solid ratings and drew critical praise and won many awards for Best Screenplay and Best Drama Writer, such as Baeksang Arts Awards, Korean Drama Awards, MBC and KBS Drama Awards.
