Lee Seung Hyun, known professionally as Lumin, is a South Korean singer-songwriter. He lived in the United States for 2 years as he wanted to learn English to compose and write lyrics. After he came back to South Korea, he enrolled and later graduated from Anyang Foreign Language High School and then attended Dongseoul University but is on a leave-of-absence from the Applied Music program. He is the eldest son of trot legend Sul Woon Do and wanted to become a singer since he was a child. He made his debut as the main vocalist of the idol group F.CUZ (pronounced as FOCUS) in 2010 under the stage name LeeU. However, almost a year later, CAN&J Entertainment announced that he was leaving as he wanted a solo career. He had a minor role in the musical "Elisabeth" and, in October 2013, he joined the group M.PIRE who debuted a few months earlier switching his stage name to Lumin. The group disbanded in 2016 and he kept trying to promote as a solo artist afterwards, but without much success so he enlisted to fulfill his mandatory military service. He owns a café in Hannam called "Amante" and is trying to re-enter the industry by singing ballads and trot music like his father. He returned to all TV music shows in 2022 with the song "Put Yourself In It".
