Lim Ji Ho is a South Korean chef who became famous for finding and utilizing cooking ingredients obtained from nature.
He lived with his mother and was sent to his father when he was three years old. At the age of 11, he headed to Busan trying to find a way to immigrate to Japan but midway, turned to Mokpo and returned home shortly thereafter. This experience led him to frequently wander the road earning him the nickname "The Wandering Eater" when he became a chef.
His lifelong nostalgia for her mother, who had passed away early in his life, resulted in Chef Lim becoming a natural culinary researcher as he wandered the country and met mothers and grandmothers and learned from them. In 2003, he took the lead in introducing Korean food to various countries around the world, when he took part in the United Nations Korean Food Festival.
He died of a heart attack in 2021.
