Lee Sun Kyun is a South Korean actor. In 2001, he debuted in the musical The Rocky Horror Show. Relegated to supporting roles for many years, he finally achieved his breakthrough in 2007, with the romantic drama “Coffee Prince” and the critically acclaimed medical drama “White Tower”, both ratings were a hit.
In 2010, he won the Best Actor award at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival held in Spain. Film distributor Myung Film quoted the judging committee as handing Lee high points for his role in Paju, portraying the anguish he felt for loving his wife’s younger sister. This is the first acclaim that Lee has received at a film festival since his debut. In 2019, he acted in the 4 Oscar-winning movie ‘Parasite’, the first non-English language film to obtain an Oscar for Best Picture.
Lee married his girlfriend of seven years, actress Jeon Hye Jin on May 23, 2009. Their sons were born on November 25, 2009, and August 9, 2011.
