Lee Dong Gook is a South Korean former association football striker who has played for teams such as European sides Werder Bremen and Middlesbrough, and Korean sides such as Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, the latter in which he played from 2009 until his retirement in 2020.
Lee has earned 105 international caps for South Korea since 1998, scoring 33 goals. He has played at two FIFA World Cups, two CONCACAF Gold Cups, two AFC Asian Cups and the 2000 Olympics.
Lee Dong Gook along with his five children (twin daughters Lee Jae Si and Lee Jae Ah, twin daughters Lee Seol Ah and Lee Su Ah and son Lee Si An) have appeared on the Sunday variety show "The Return of Superman" since 2015 until late 2019 which he appeared in episodes 89 to 298.
