On January 16, 2023, the teaser image for S12 was uploaded on social media, confirming that the twelfth member of tripleS was going to be announced. Two days later, S12’s identity was revealed to be YeonJi through a video teaser. On January 19, it was announced that she would be moving into the HAUS the following day.
