Kim Tae Yeon is a South Korean traditional musician and trot singer. She began studying pansori and folk songs at the age of 4 and she was immediately called a "pansori prodigy". She has been taught by master singer Park Jeong Ah since she was 6 and she has won the Grand Prize at the Chunhyang Gugak Competition, the Grand Prize at the Dong-Jin Park Pansori Competition, and the Gold Prize at the Jindo Folk Song Master Singing Competition. She also participated as the South Korean representative at iconic Carnegie Hall in the United States. She began singing trot music and participated in several competitions like "Voice Trot" and "Miss Trot 2".
