Kim Tae Seok is a South Korean retired table tennis player. He used a one-sided penhold style, compared to the newer style of reverse-backhand looping that has become the Chinese penhold standard. He represented South Korea in many international competitions and obtained two bronze medals (singles and doubles) in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. In 2009, he became the Technical Director of the Korea Table Tennis Association. A year later, he was assigned as the Manager of the men’s national table tennis team. In 2016, he became the General Manager of the Mirae Asset Securities Table Tennis Team.
