Kim Sung Yeon is a former IME Korea trainee and appeared as a contestant on survival reality show Mix Nine, but eliminated in the first elimination round (episode 7) at 66th rank.
He is also a former YG Entertainment trainee and appeared as a contestant on YG’s survival show, YG Treasure Box, but eliminated in episode 8. He is a classmate of Bang Ye Dam, singer and member of boy group Treasure 13.
After training for two years and two months, he made his appearance as an independent trainee on boy group survival reality show Produce X 101.
