Kim Jung Min is a South Korean actress and TV personality. She attended middle school in Gwangju but dropped out of school and in 2005 passed the high school aptitude test. She enrolled at Suwon University’s Department of Theater and Film but also dropped out and transferred to Jungbu University where she obtained a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
She appeared briefly as a child actor in "Start" and then made her debut as a model for several commercials in 2003. That same year, she made her acting debut in the KBS youth drama "Sharp 1". She then appeared in several dramas and a musical but around 2013 her appearances began to focus on entertainment and variety shows.
In 2017 she was involved in a controversy when her relationship and later break-up with Coffeesmith’s CEO, Son Tae Young, became public. Both accused each other of defamation and Kim claimed she was blackmailed by Son. After months of arguing, he was sentenced to two years of probation. This issue caused Kim to barely make TV appearances since then, something she is trying to change.
