While studying at Hanyang University (Dept. of Theater and Film), Kim passed an audition for Saturday Night Live Korea, becoming a regular cast member for season 7. There, she gained some exposure from popular skits, which led to her taking supporting roles in several productions after her departure from SNL.
She gained more recognition from her supporting role in the Netflix drama “Kingdom,” and soon after played the lead role in film “Another Child,” for which she won Best New Actress at the 40th Blue Dragon Awards in 2019. Kim played her first leading role in a drama in MBC’s 2020 black comedy/mystery “Chip In.” She is currently represented by ANDMARQ Entertainment.
