Kim Him Chan was the sub-vocal, rapper and visual of the South Korean group B.A.P. The group debuted in 2012 under TS Entertainment.
In November 2014, the group filed a lawsuit against its agency. The members sought to nullify its contract with the company citing "unfair conditions and profit distribution". In August 2015, the two parties ultimately settled and B.A.P resumed its activities under TS Entertainment.
On September 9, 2018, he was under investigation for sexually harassing a women.
B.A.P. disbanded on February 18, 2019.
He can play piano, drums, guitar, violin and traditional instruments like dae-geum, jang-goo, ggwaeng-ga-ri and jing. In 2011 he was an MC for MTV’s ”The Show” together with Hyo Sung from Secret and Luna from F(x).
He made his solo debut on October 25, 2020 with the digital single "Reason Of My Life".
On October 26, 2020, he caused an accident while intoxicated with a high blood alcohol concentration.
On October 27, 2020 he released an apology.
On February 24, 2021, the district court in Seoul came to a conclusion that he will be sentenced to 10 months of prison and 40 hours of a therapy program for sex offenders. He and the prosecution later file an appeal.
On June 13, 2021 he posted an apology on his Instagram account. That night he attempted suicide. His mother had been contacted by acquaintances that were concerned for his health and was able to prevent a more serious incident from occurring. He was not in life-threatening condition and was currently resting at home.
