Kim Dong Hyun is a South Korean bass-baritone and member of the crossover group Edel Reinklang. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music from Kyung Hee University and was studying for his master’s degree also in Vocal Music at Mainz National University in Germany, but is currently on a leave of absence. When he was in Germany, he watched the final of "Phantom Singer" and his friends encouraged him to apply to the show’s second season. In 2017 he participated on the show and made it to the final rounds where he was grouped with 3 other singers, forming Edel Reinklang and earning 3rd place.
