Kim Chae Won is a South Korean artist and former member of the defunct group IZ*ONE. She is managed by Woollim Entertainment. She joined a survival show called, Produce 48, and ended up debuting as the 10th member in the girl group, IZ*ONE. Kim attends Hanlim Multi Art School. She trained for 11 months. She is the daughter of theater actress Lee Ran Hee.
IZ*ONE was officially disbanded on April 29, 2021.
On March 14, 2022 a representative of Source Music, which is part of HYBE Labels announced that Kim Chae Won has signed exclusive contract with the agency. She will debut as a member of first girl group launched through the cooperation of HYBE and Source Music. And on April 6, 2022, Kim Chaewon was introduced as the fourth member of ‘LE SSERAFIM’
