Jo Bo Ah, born Jo Bo-Yoon in Daejeon, is a South Korean actress, host, and model. Jo graduated from Sungkyunkwan University, majoring in Performing Arts. She originally dreamed of becoming a flight attendant and entered the Department of Aviation and Tourism at Hanseo University, and was in 2011 Asiana Airlines Flight Attendant Experience Class but left to pursue acting studies at Sungkyunkwan University.
She had won multiples awards, including “2015 New Actor Award” by 28th Grime Award, “2015 Popularity Award” by KBS Drama Awards, “2016 Rookie of the Year Award” by MBC Drama Awards, “2017 Best Challenge Award” by SBS Entertainment Awards, “2018 Excellence Award, Actress in a Feature Drama” by 6th Asia Pacific Star Awards, “2018 Best New Actress in Drama” by The 2nd The Seoul Awards, “2018 Excellence Award, Actress in a Weekend Special Project” by MBC Drama Awards, “2018 Variety Category Excellence Award” by SBS Entertainment Awards, “2020 Popularity Award” and”2020 Best Couple Award (with Park Hae-jin)” by KBS Drama Awards.
She made some appearances in the music videos including “Memories of Spring” (2016) by BTOB, and “Honestly I’m tired” (2020) by Chungha. She was an ambassador for “20th National Election Commission General Election Ambassador” in 2016, “Heart-Heart Foundation Ambassador” in 2018, “Korea Fire Department Honorary firefighter” in 2020, and “Korea Sale Festa Ambassador” in 2021.
