Park Sun Young, known professionally as Hyomin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. She is a member of South Korean girl group T-ara which debuted in 2009. Apart from her group’s activities, Hyomin has also starred in various television dramas such as My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox (2010), Gye Baek (2011), The Thousandth Man (2012), Unusual Man and Woman (2017), also started in various films such as Gisaeng Ryung (2011) and Jinx! (2013).
She debuted as a solo artist with her debut mini-album, Make Up, on June 30, 2014. Hyomin’s path to stardom started early when she won the MiMi Princess modelling contest at the age of 8. She was a famous internet ulzzang and even modelled for online shopping malls before debuting with T-ara.
In January 2018, all 4 members of the group left MBK Entertainment after their contract ended. On January 3, 2018, T-ara went on an indefinite hiatus in order to allow the members to pursue their solo careers.
She is currently under Sublime Artist Agency since May 2018. On May 3, 2021 she became a free agent as her contract expired.
T-ara’s latest comeback was on November 15, 2021 second single album Re:T-ara. It marks the group’s first release after a 4 year hiatus
