Lee Ho Won, commonly known by his stage name Hoya, is a South Korean singer, rapper and actor. He was the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper of the 7-member group Infinite up until his departure from Woolim Entertainment on June 9, 2017 after his contract expired.
Ho Ya was born in Busan, South Korea. He dropped out of high school to pursue his dream as a singer. His father was against the decision thus Hoya had to leave home. He then took the high school qualification exam and passed. Later his father accepted him. He was a former JYP Entertainment trainee.
He graduated from Daekyeung University, majoring in Applied Music.
He made his acting debut in the drama Reply 1997 (2012)
On February 15, 2013 heu graduated from Daekyung University’s Practical Music program and received the ‘Proud Daekyung University Student Award’
He made his solo debut with his first mini album "Shower" on March 28, 2018.
He enlisted for military service on February 7, 2019 and was discharged on December 6, 2020.
He made his comeback with the new digital single 1AM On June 9, 2021.
On September 26, 2017 he signed with Glorious Entertainment and left the agency after 4 years. He’s now a free agent.
