Han Young Ae is a South Korean singer and theater actress. She graduated from Seoul Girls’ High School and later obtained an associate’s degree in Theater from the Seoul College of Arts. She liked to do busking in Sinchon and Kim Eui Cheol, the leader of folk group SUNFLOWER (해바라기) invited her to join. She made her debut in 1976 with the album "Sunflower Sun Collection, Vol 1" (해바라기 노래모음 제1집). Her agency failed to promote her music and she joined a theater company, spending 6 years as an actress. After 3 more years of hiatus, she returned as a soloist in 1986 with her 1st album "Yeoulmog" (여울목) while also collaborating with SINCHON BLUES (신촌블루스 ). She tends to avoid appearing on TV but she has spent several years hosting different radio shows.
