Half-Vietnamese, half-English with a Masters in Classical Arabic, Frank started as a BBC documentary director/producer working in conflict zones across the world before transitioning to scripted. Frank’s work includes the Royal TV Society nominee The Killer Wave for the BBC, Dowry Cops, nominee for Amnesty’s Doc of the year 2004, and director of Peabody winner A Year in The Clouds and License to Kill, winner of the Royal TV Society Doc of the year 2000. Frank Exec. produced the Golden Bell award-winning dramas The Teenage Psychic for HBO Asia and 2019’s Nowhere Man, Netflix’s first Chinese language series Original and winner of 4 Golden Bells. Most recently Frank was the creator and show-runner of psychological drama series Forbidden for HBO Asia.
