Oh Eun Chul, known professionally by the Western version of his name, Eun Chul Oh and also as Charlie Oh, is a South Korean composer, pianist, music director and keyboardist of the band CRAXILVER. He studied middle school in China and lived there for 4 years. He then attended the Department of Composition at Yonsei University but dropped out because he moved to the United States and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Music at Indiana State University.
He began composing at the age of 16 with his first commissioned piece, "Voyage to the Sunrise" that was performed by the National Police Symphony Orchestra at the Universal Art Center. In 2016, he composed "Arirang Fantasy" a classical piece for a woodwind quintet that has been very popular since it was performed for the first time at the Kumho Art Hall. He has also composed several OSTs for movies and dramas. In 2021, he served as music director for the crossover group Forte Di Quattro and worked as a pianist in the musical "4 Minutes". He always wanted to be a rocker so, he joined auditions for the JTBC show "Super Band 2" and decided to work with CRAXILVER as their keyboardist ultimately winning first place.
