Cho Gue Sung is a South Korean footballer who plays as a forward. He began his youth career FC Anyang in 2014 as a defensive midfielder and later attended Gwangju University and as a freshman, his college coach suggested he should change his position to a striker as his evaluation was not good. In 2019, Cho joined K-League 2 team FC Anyang where he played as a youth player before and scored 14 goals in 33 appearances being selected as part of the Best XI from League 2 and securing his transfer to K-League top division with a move to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. He made his debut with the senior national team in 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Lebanon but he was struggling to earn more playing time at Jeonbuk so he enlisted in the military team, Gimcheon Sangmu, to serve his military duty and develop more as a player. That resulted in him leading the K-League in scoring and helping Jeonbuk win the 2022 Korean FA Cup. He was also selected as part of the national team squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar scoring 2 goals against Ghana making him incredibly popular in South Korea due to his looks and his skills.
