A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, who graduated from the University of Utah, majoring in Chinese literature and Asian studies. When he came to Hong Kong in 1995, he taught English in kindergarten. In 1999, he officially left the United States to work in Hong Kong. He is able to write Chinese, also speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and Cambodian.
