Bang Ye Dam is a former member of the South Korean boy group TREASURE managed by YG Entertainment. Bang graduated high school from School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA).
In 2012, he auditioned for the second installment of SBS reality competition program, K-pop Star, where soon after he finished the contest as runner-up. In June 2013, Bang was scouted by South Korean record label YG Entertainment and joined as a trainee. After 7 years of training, he released the digital single titled "Wayo" (왜요) on June 5, 2020. Bang is credited as a composer for a couple of songs from Sechskies.
Thereafter, he debuted with TREASURE on August 7 with the track "BOY" from their debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’. Together with the members of TREASURE, he went on to win Rookie of the Year awards and performed at several events such as the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), Golden Disc Awards (GDA) and Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
He made his acting debut in the webdrama "It’s okay, that’s friendship" (2021).
On May 27, 2022 it was announced that Ye Dam would temporarily halt his activities to focus on studying music to improve his potential as a producer. On November 8, 2022 it was announced that he and Mashiho would leave TREASURE and YG Entertainment.
