Kim Jaejoong will be appearing on a public broadcasting station variety program for the first time in 15 years!
On February 23, industry insiders reported that Kim Jaejoong finished filming an episode for KBS2’s reality show “Fun-staurant” on February 22.
In response to the report, a source from “Fun-staurant” shared, “It is true that Kim Jaejoong participated in filming for ‘Fun-staurant’ on February 22. The broadcast schedule is yet to be decided.”
On the afternoon of February 23, Kim Jaejoong also expressed his gratitude for fans through the fan communication platform Fromm, saying, “You’ve been waiting for this good news for a long time, right? It is all thanks to everyone’s support for a long time. I will work hard to make more smiley days filled with good memories step by step.”
This will mark Kim Jaejoong’s first appearance on a public broadcasting station variety show since he filed for a temporary injunction against SM Entertainment in 2009 to suspend his exclusive contract. After leaving TVXQ, he expanded his career as an actor by starring in various dramas including “Protect the Boss,” “Dr. Jin,” “Triangle,” “Spy,” and “Manhole” but has never appeared on any public broadcasting station variety programs.
“Fun-staurant” is a survival show in which the cast introduces their own special recipes that would sell well. The judges then taste their dishes and select the best recipe. The winner’s recipe gets the chance to be sold through convenience stores nationwide.
