Netflix’s “Parasyte: The Grey” has shared stills of Jeon So Nee, Goo Kyo Hwan, Lee Jung Hyun, Kwon Hae Hyo, and Kim In Kwon!
Based on the universe of the legendary manga series “Parasyte” by Hitoshi Iwaaki, “Parasyte: The Grey” follows the events that unfold when mysterious parasitic life-forms fall to Earth from outer space and attempt to gain power by living off of human hosts.
The first set of stills captures Jeong Su In (Jeon So Nee), a woman who unexpectedly begins a bizarre coexistence with the parasitic creature Heidi after it fails to take over her brain. From Jeong Su In’s ordinary daily life to her sensing changes and then transforming into the parasitic being Heidi, the released stills heighten viewers’ anticipation for Jeon So Nee’s portrayal of two different personalities.
The next set of stills captures Seol Kang Woo (Goo Kyo Hwan), who becomes involved with Su In while on a quest to track down parasites in order to find his missing sister. Kang Woo exudes a unique aura with his intense gaze and tense facial expressions, heightening viewers’ anticipation for Goo Kyo Hwan’s performance, which promises to further immerse viewers in the drama.
More stills depict Choi Jun Kyung (Lee Jung Hyun), the team leader of Team Grey, a special unit tasked with eradicating parasites. She is captured as a skilled profiler and a police academy professor as well as someone who actively engages in field operations, hinting at her strong determination toward the complete eradication of the parasites.
The following stills capture Chul Min (Kwon Hae Hyo), a detective at Namil Police Station who is a great source of strength for Su In, and police sergeant Won Seok (Kim In Kwon), Chul Min’s partner. Viewers can’t wait to find out if Chul Min will be able to protect Su In, a mutant that is neither fully human nor a parasite, until the end.
Director Yeon Sang Ho commented, “’Parasyte: The Grey’ is ultimately a story about coexistence. It will make viewers ponder about coexistence within organizations and individuals within organizations.”
“Parasyte: The Grey” is set to premiere via Netflix on April 5.
