If there’s a word that describes the two main characters from “Branding in Seongsu,” it is definitely “chaotic.” Not only do they have zero communication skills, but even when they do communicate, it seems to be impossible for them to understand each other. However, these two characters have gained hearts with their strange relationship over the past few episodes, which makes their multiple chaotic situations all the more hilarious during this week’s new episodes!
Warning: spoilers from episodes 13-16 below!
1. Kang Na Eon saving Jenny from a scam
Following the fallout from last week’s episode among the underdog team, So Eun Ho (Lomon) as Kang Na Eon comes up with a plan to bring back the soju brand that will make his team the winner in that feat, despite Kang Na Eon (Kim Ji Eun) as So Eun Ho doing everything in her power to crush them. However, for his plan to succeed, he needs the entire team united, something that gets complicated when Jenny (Chae Soo Ah), the youngest team member, decides to quit her job after being insulted for being a high school graduate.
Although So Eun Ho does his best to try to convince her not to quit, she is adamant about it, even more so after an agency contacts her to sign as a new influencer, something she is really talented in. But Eun Ho quickly realizes the agency is a scam and goes straight to save Jenny, even when his body as Kang Na Eon won’t overpower a group of gangsters. Nonetheless, he goes straight to the agency, pretending to be a really popular influencer and saves Jenny just enough before her cover is blown. With a little bit of help from the underdog team, both of them escape and put into action the real plan for So Eun Ho’s marketing strategy.
2. So Eun Ho and Kang Na Eon kissing again
Just when it looked like everything was over for the underdog team, the plan that Kang Na Eon was skimming is revealed, bringing down both the actor she had hired for the soju commercial and Do Yu Mi (Yang Hye Ji), who ultimately loses her position as the leader of Team 1. That is when the marketing plan that the underdog team was crafting comes into the game, proving to be a new and fresh approach, creating a non-alcoholic soju and promoting it in Jenny’s old high school.
This moment was especially important because So Eun Ho could see that Kang Na Eon was not betraying the underdog team, but she was actually planning her next move in order to get the information about the attack that she needed. And once again she succeeds when she receives an unexpected call from the person that is behind Do Yu Mi. But before she can depart, So Eun Ho holds her back, probably thanks to the liquid courage from the bottle of soju that he confuses with a non-alcoholic one, and though they can’t really explain what is going on between them, they share a passionate kiss once again, just like the first time.
3. Kang Na Eon and So Eun Ho switching their bodies back
Since the second kiss didn’t make them switch back, it is no surprise that Kang Na Eon and So Eun Ho don’t think about that right after their third one. But to everybody’s wonder, they switch their bodies back, and in the most inconvenient moment possible. Right when Kang Na Eon is in front of the person who probably ordered her murder, she is sent to her house, where a concerned Cha Jung Woo (Kim Ho Young) is looking for her. She is half relieved and half annoyed about recovering her body, all while So Eun Ho is jumping up and down with joy for recovering his handsome male appearance.
From that moment on, Kang Na Eon is set to recover what is rightfully hers and is appointed once again as the leader of Team 1 in the agency. And though the underdog team really helped her, she shows little to no character development when she crushes their hopes of going to team 1 with her. Instead, she goes after a cooperative project for her team, while giving the others a lousy project which will come as a real challenge for the underdog team once again.
4. So Eun Ho having a rebranding project for an old motel
Though the situation looks far from ideal for them – since the motel they must work with is old and appears to be haunted – So Eun Ho keeps a high spirit and encourages his team to look at the bright side of things. But it is really hard to be positive when they visit the place and all they see is a dark and scary place, followed by a grandma who refuses to change anything within the motel. Their first visit is definitely not what they expect, and they end up being thrown out of the place by its owner.
But So Eun Ho is naturally optimistic and doesn’t give up that easily; however, the moment he prepares to go back to the motel, he is switched back to Kang Na Eon’s body, right when she is dealing with the corporate project. At that moment, the show reveals that there might be something more behind the apparently naive and jolly So Eun Ho, as he has made a deal with one of the directors from Segye Group, the same one that is against Kang Na Eon. It is also the one that orders So Eun Ho to mess up her project, to which he also agrees. It seems like there’s still so much more mystery to uncover, so don’t forget to check out this chaotic couple next week in “Branding in Seongsu”!
