In 1734, ten years into King Yeong Jo’s reign, Hak Gyu, a talented pansori singer, travels all over Joseon in search of his unauthorized takingped wife, Gan Nan, while telling his sorrow and joy-filled story through song. One by one, as people begin following Hak Gyu’s journey, a band of entertainers led by this singer is filled with excitement as the Eight Provinces of Joseon’s traveling theater begins. As the impoverished of Joseonare met in the streets, the song of Hak Gyu that made the people cry begins to be the sound that changes the world.
