Nam Do and Nam Shik, orphaned at a young age, lives in the deep forest of Kangwon province with their grandmother. Nam Do works in a factory and Nam Shik holds deep affection for his older brother. Jung Ok lives with her disabled father and two younger sisters. At fifteen, she must make a living to take care of the family.
