Sang-soo is the man next door. His dream is to own land and a Mercedes. Sang-soo is a typical real estate agent in his thirties in a white shirt with hair slicked back. He strongly believes that if you put down 5 stones you have to take 3. Otherwise, you will be stuck with only two. The resort development project that he has his life staked on is the one that willmake his dream of owning a Mercedes come true. His love for his wife Yoon-jung is a thing of the past and he is pretty much indifferent to his son who has grown quite a bit. What could possibly be more important than money in this world? No one will admit it, but nothing is more important than money. He could pull a scam or do something even worse in order to get what he wants. He does take a moment to reflect upon his innocent days when his friend tells him to take a look into the mirror, but nothing changes. Because now, he can do all the things he couldn’t do back then by paying money… It’s too late to turn back now. He has to just keep going forward. His dream has come true. But there are rules in life. Sang-soo has barely enough time to keep going forward, but unexpected events hold him back. Residents protest against the development, but the situation is eventually resolved… Mr. Choi’s Self-harm and Yoon-jung’s rebellion leave a huge hole in Sang-soo’s heart. Where should this man go?
