Sung Gil, an old funeral director, lives with his unwell son. Sung Gil is strong but poor. He is too poor to be forced to work as an employee of a large funeral company. A woman who has many stories moves to the next house with her little daughter, and she becomes a caretaker for Sung Gil’s ill son. Sung Gil’s son, who only wants to die, begins to know hope andhappiness. Around that time, a benefactor of the town who cared for the homeless dies and the homeless want his funeral to be held in the town square. The old undertaker thinks it’s his job to do.
