16-year-old girl Jung Ae is living with her father in a redevelopment area of Seoul. Her father was diagnosed with an end-stage cancer and is waiting for his death without further treatment. He tells Jeong-ae that it is easier to give up life than try to survive. However, Jung Ae refuses to accept his idea and tries to overcome the hardships of their life. One day, she receives a letter from hermother who left her long ago. Eventually she’s on her way to find her long-lost mother, believing that this is the only hope left to her.
