• The members were selected through the PRODUCE 101 program.
• The last chapter of PRODUCE 101; in the final election of the members achieved a 4.38 % ranking; being the highest of the survival programs.
• Fans and even non-fans of AOA demand that I.O.I should change its group name, as IOI (aioai) is quite similar to AOA (eioei).
• So Mi had the central position of the group, as she came first in the last chapter of PRODUCE 101.
• Many netizens have been concerned that the group only has 3 female rappers: Nayoung, Yoojung and Mina.
• On April 4, I.O.I had their first official activity on VLive app, but it only lasted 5 minutes. In their 5 minutes of transmission they got more than 800 000 likes; currently they have more.
• According to a representative, only 3 I.O.I members were chosen to promote Hite Beer (alcoholic beverage). Excluding the underage members; the reporter only knew the names of Somi and Pinky that’s why when they mentioned the underage members they only mentioned them, causing controversy for the rest of the underage members in the group, but they fixed it.
• On April 4, it was reported that they have signed several commercial contracts (CF) with top companies in South Korea, including a chicken restaurant franchise, a beauty brand, an energy drink and an alcoholic beverage.
• On April 4, they released a fanservice video for Crush on Naver as a token of love to their fans for their support, which shows them having a lot of fun with the song, as well as the recording scenes. Crush will be part of one of the songs in the mini album, but it is not the debut song.
• After the release of the song Crush, it ranked #1 on Mnet, Soribada and Monkey3; #2 on Bugs and Olleh; #5 on Naver and #8 on Melon in real time chart.

• I.O.I is recently gaining fans for their talents and personalities. But as soon as they have finally established a reputation in the entertainment industry. The group had to say goodbye with the date of their disbandment. They presented “Very Very Very” in their final stage as a group at KBS Music Bank on November 4.
• Fans feared the last stage performance and were saddened when it finally happened. During the performance of their song in “Music Bank,” the girls changed a part of their original choreography and instead bowed to show their appreciation to the fans who have been with them until the end. Fans have continued to express their support through SNS with the hashtag #IOIForever, even calling for the dissolution to be cancelled.

• Just on the day of its official dissolution, Inkigayo released the results (via online) of the January 29th broadcast, where I.O.I won with Downpour.
• After their disbandment, nine of the eleven girls (Somi, Sohye, Chaeyeon, Yeonjung, Nayoung, Pinky, Mina, Doyeon and Chung Ha) had a meeting on the final episode of PRODUCE 101 Season 2 to cheer for the finalists. Yoojung had an individual activity and the girls made video call with her, while Sejeong was busy filming School 2017.
• At the 2017 MAMA Awards, Chung Ha, Yoojung, Kyulkyung, Nayoung and Doyeon under the name “I.O.I” were the presenters for the “Best New Female Artist 2017” award, including doing the group’s salute and performing part of “Very Very Very”.
• It was reported that the 11 members will meet at PRODUCE 48 along with WANNA ONE, the two groups filmed on April 22, 2018 and will meet with the trainees at the program to provide support and advice.
• On April 30, Korean media Ilgan Sport offered the first reports of a possible I.O.I. reunion, and CJ E&M has confirmed that a reunion of the girls is being considered for 2019, but that nothing has been decided. The first rumors surfaced at the end of February, but their agencies denied that there were any negotiations. Two months later, at the end of April, the rumors returned.
  • On June 12, a report came out again that reported a new detail of the possible reunion of I.O.I. This time, they announced that it would be with nine members (without Jeon So Mi and Choi Yoo Jung) and not eleven, as it was reported in April. However, CJ E&M assured that nothing has been decided yet, and everything is still under negotiation.
  • On June 28, it was reported that the group would indeed return with nine members in 2019, and that they have already selected the title song for their comeback and are preparing the choreography. Minutes later CJ E&M announced that they are working on the preparations for the comeback and it would be announced soon. On July 1, 2019, they filmed the “album jacket” of their comeback.
  • According to an exclusive report on September 6, the I.O.I group recently confirmed its return deadline for this December. Experts told the media, “I.O.I’s comeback has been confirmed for December. The decision came after taking into consideration the members’ schedules, the full quality of their comeback songs and other production preparations, etc. A specific date has not been set yet, but it will probably be in early December.”
  • Previously, I.O.I girls were expected to return as a 9-member group in October, However, according to insiders, I.O.I has persisted in contacting Jeon So Mi and Yoo Yeon Jung’s agencies even after previous news reports in hopes of a full 11-member reunion. A source stressed, “The possibility of Jeon So Mi and Choi Yoo Jung participating in the meeting has increased more than before.”
