CNBLUE is composed of three members born between 1989 and 1991. Their names are: Yonghwa, Minhyuk, and Jungshin. The 3 members are Korean.
The oldest member is Yonghwa (born Jun 22, 1989). He is also the leader of the band. The youngest member or maknae is Jungshin (born Sep 15, 1991)
The group originally debuted with five members. Jonhyun, the guitarist, left in 2019. Kwangjin, the bassist, departed in 2009.

- The 3 members enlisted to the military at the same time in 2018. They were discharged in March 2020.
Facts
- CNBLUE was the second band of the FNC Entertainment agency.
- CNBLUE holds the record of winning the first place in South Korea’s music programs in the shortest time after its debut. Just 15 days after releasing ‘Im loner’, they won their first award. However, YG’s debut group ‘WINNER’ broke that record with only 7 days after its debut.
- FNC decided that before debuting in Korea they should mature as a band and decided to send them to Japan. The company paid the rent for their dormitory and the parents of each of them had a fixed amount they could send them. Since their individual amount was very little, the four of them pooled their money and covered each other’s expenses, yet they went hungry and sacrificed things like buying clothes or cutting their hair. Jung Yong Hwa was cast in the Korean drama “You’re Beautiful” but he sent them the money from his pay and regularly traveled to Japan to perform with them.
- CNBLUE is the first South Korean band to make a world tour. Only dance groups had ventured into world tours such as Super Junior or BIGBANG, so CNBLUE’s tour gained a lot of attention as the first South Korean band to go on a world tour.
- Crying Nut sued CNBLUE and its agency FNC Entertainment for the unauthorized use of his song “Pilsal Off Side” on Mnet’s music program M! Countdown, in 2010.
- Since their debut in Japan, all of their albums have their own songs. Yonghwa is the one who has contributed the most songs, followed by Jonghyun, then Jung Shin and lastly Minhyuk.
