2AM is composed of four members born between 1986 and 1991. Their names are Changmin, Jinwoon, Seulong, and Jokwon. All four members are of Korean descent and nationality. They were selected through the reality show Hot Blood Men which formed 2AM and 2PM.

- The group is currently inactive. And all members no longer belong to the JYP Entertainment agency.
- On October 12 at midnight KST, 2AM officially announced their plans for their first comeback as a full group in seven years. The group will return with their highly anticipated fourth mini album “Ballad 21 F/W” on November 1 at 6 p.m. KST.
- The official spelling of the group’s name was previously ‘2AM’ with capitalized letters, but this has been changed to ‘2am’ with lowercase letters. The fandom name also seems to have changed to “I am”, but it is more often spelled “I AM” due to its obscurity.
